Flipdish: what size of restaurant is it for?
Flipdish is built for restaurants and it is good at it — ordering, a branded app, kiosks, a POS. It is also priced for a business with volume: the published bundle starts around €99 a month per site on annual billing, and most of the rest is quoted by a salesperson. For a group or a busy multi-site takeaway that is reasonable. For one pizzeria doing thirty orders a week it is a lot of software.
What they publish, and what they do not
| Price | |
|---|---|
| POS + online ordering bundle, billed annually | from €99 / month per site |
| Same bundle, billed monthly | €129 / month per site |
| Per-order transaction fee | Not published |

| Kitchen display system | Talk to sales |
| Branded mobile app | Talk to sales |

Flipdish's own pricing page, September 2026. Third-party directories report per-order fees in the low single-digit percentages plus card processing, but Flipdish does not publish a figure.
Per site, not per business
Pricing is quoted per location, which is the right model for what it is but worth noticing: three sites is three subscriptions. That scales fairly for a group with real volume and badly for someone with a restaurant and a van.
When Flipdish is clearly the right choice
- You have several sites. Consolidated reporting across locations is a genuine operational need that lighter tools do not meet.
- You want the till and the website to be one system. An integrated POS removes a whole category of errors — the menu is the same menu.
- You want kiosks or your own branded app. Both are real products here, not a checkbox.
- Your volume is high enough that a fixed fee beats a percentage. Above a few hundred orders a month, a subscription plus a small transaction fee is far cheaper than any aggregator.
When it is too much
A single pizzeria whose main problem is that its menu is a PDF and its hours are wrong does not need a POS, a kiosk or a branded app. It needs a page that is correct and easy to change. Buying a restaurant platform to solve that is not wrong so much as expensive — and the subscription is due whether the orders come or not, which is the meaningful difference from a commission model.
The comparison that actually decides it
| Orders / month | Aggregator at 28% | Subscription ~£85/mo + 3% |
|---|---|---|
| 40 | £3,763 | £1,423 |
| 150 | £14,112 | £2,532 |
| 400 | £37,632 | £5,052 |
Illustrative. Subscription converted from €99/month; transaction fee assumed at 3% since Flipdish does not publish one.
A fixed subscription wins at every volume in that table — which is the general case against commission, not a specific argument for one vendor. What changes with volume is how much the fixed fee stings in a quiet month.
