The best pizzeria website builders in 2026

Updated 14 September 202611 min readRomain Ferrand — pizzaiolo, 12 years in trucks and dining rooms

There is no best one. There is a best one for a single pizzeria that wants its menu correct and to be found on a phone, a different best one for a group running four sites and a POS, and a different one again for a restaurant that publishes a blog. The honest version of this comparison is a table of trade-offs, so here is that — including where we are the wrong choice.

The options, compared

The four questions that actually decide it

  1. Who changes a price at 7pm on a Friday? If the answer is not somebody in the building, with a phone, the menu will go stale. This eliminates more options than any feature comparison.
  2. Do you need ordering, or a menu? They are different products and paying for the first when you needed the second is the commonest overspend.
  3. How many sites? One changes the answer completely from three.
  4. What do you already pay in commission? Usually an order of magnitude more than any row in that table, and usually the thing worth fixing first.

Work out the commission number before you spend a long evening comparing subscription tiers.

What to check on any shortlist

  • Two services a day, and past midnight. Ask for a demo of a Friday that closes at 00:30. A surprising number cannot do it.
  • Options that change a price — size, base, extras — without duplicating the dish.
  • Allergens as a field on the item, not text in a description. Legally you need them in writing before an online order.
  • Restaurant and menu structured data, emitted automatically.
  • Export. Can you get your menu and your customers out, and in what format? Ask before you sign, not after.
  • Who owns the domain. It should be you, on an account with your email on it.

Where we are the wrong choice

  • You run several sites and want one POS across them. That is what Flipdish and its competitors are built for and we do not do it.
  • You want to design the site yourself, visually. Wix and Squarespace give you control we deliberately do not.
  • You publish seriously — recipes, a real blog, an events programme. WordPress is still better at publishing.
  • You need kiosks, a branded app or table management. Different category of product.
  • You already have a site you like and only lack ordering. Bolt a widget onto it rather than moving.

The one recommendation we will make

Whatever you choose, buy the domain yourself today, in the restaurant's name, on an account with your own email. It costs about £10 a year. Every other decision on this page is reversible; that one is the only thing that makes the rest reversible.
