Website for a pizzeria that delivers

If you deliver with your own drivers, the site has to say three things before the menu: where you deliver, what delivery costs and from what order value. Without them, every order starts with a phone call.

The delivery area is a question, not a map

Nobody studies a shaded map to work out whether their street is inside it. What works is the list: the areas, the villages, or the radius in minutes. Short, clear, at the top.

  • The areas or postcodes, by name.
  • The delivery charge, and the order value that removes it.
  • The minimum order, if you have one.
  • Delivery hours, which usually end before the shop closes.
  • The estimated time, raisable at the peak.

Questions owners actually ask

How should I show the delivery area?

As a list of areas or postcodes, not a shaded map. Nobody studies a map to work out whether their own street is inside it.

Is delivering myself cheaper than a platform?

You pay the driver either way. On a platform you also pay 25 to 35 % commission, so on your own site that difference is pure margin.
